This unit is a 2-step model with switchable heat output to allow for economical heating of your indoor workshop space, outdoor projects, and asphalt / concrete preparation projects. Unlike heaters that rely on heated air flow, which generate lots of dust and noise, this heater works by infrared radiation to allow heat to penetrate directly into objects just like sunlight. Unlike forced air heaters, this unit also does not lose its efficacy and efficiency in the presence of wind and cold air.
